Filipino Independence Day

Today we were treated to a mini concert to celebrate Filipino Independence Day. There is a very large Filipino contingent amongst the staff so everyone from the Captain down helped celebrate this special day.

One of the wait staff sang a traditional song while a choir was put together to sing the National Anthem.  This was followed by a bamboo and fan dance.  It was moving to see how proud and happy the staff looked that so many us turned up as you saw them waving to passengers that they recognised.

We are starting to dread the captain’s announcements and sure enough today was no exception. Due the rough seas and 3 generators we are due into Mumbai an hour late.

Garry’s world cruise Bread Roll Count so far - 59
