What !! 45 days to go......

My God where has the time gone...... during the last 50 odd days we have been finalizing our private shore tours, meeting lots of fellow cruisers and buying more stuff!!

We have had emails from Princess telling us that we have 17 Formal Nights and that our times have changed for Greenock and Dublin..... we are leaving Greenock earlier and arriving in Dublin earlier.... too early if you ask me as we now have 2 hours to kill until everything comes alive...

Garry is still pretty keen to have Egypt reinstated ... checking the travel warnings almost daily .... at this stage if we were going to Safaga there would be a better chance of getting there, but up around Cairo they are still recommending to “Reconsider your travel Plans”

Our roll call on Cruise Critic is growing by the day, I am sure we will have close to 60 at our first Meet and Greet...
We had a fun day yesterday with Ross and Lesley, our cruising friends from Brisbane.... firstly we headed into the city for a Thunderjet ride..... thank god for stabilizers on a big boat..... that jet boat was going up and down, round and round ... side to side ........ even I got off feeling a little queazy.... Didn't think that we would get wet... though the purple rain coats should have given us a clue... and we soon learnt to keep our mouths shut when the boat came to a sudden stop... especially after our first mouth full of sea water...

After that we met up with Fran and Peter from our roll call and took them for the cooks tour of sydney that ended up on the Glenmore Rooftop for lunch....

I have just finished putting together my World Cruise Signature Quilt... I printed a picture of our boat onto fabric and surrounded it with what we call Post and Rail blocks... done in blues with the calico strips, where I hope all our new found friends will sign their names as we sail around the world...  now just to find the time to quilt it.....

  1. Beautiful quilt. What a priceless momento you'll have of your travels and the friendships you've made.
